Department Committees

The Department of Management Studies at Vardhaman College of Engineering has constituted various committees to ensure systematic academic planning, quality enhancement, curriculum relevance, and continuous improvement of the MBA programme. Each committee plays a vital role in strengthening teaching–learning practices, promoting research and industry engagement, and aligning the department with institutional goals and corporate expectations.

Department Advisory Committee (DAC)

The Department Advisory Committee serves as a strategic body that provides guidance for the overall growth and development of the department. It comprises senior faculty members, industry professionals, alumni, and academic experts. The committee reviews academic progress, infrastructure requirements, industry linkages, and student performance, and offers recommendations to enhance teaching–learning processes, research initiatives, consultancy services, and employability outcomes.

Program Assessment and Quality Improvement Committee (PAQIC)

The Program Assessment and Quality Improvement Committee focuses on sustaining and improving the quality of the MBA programme. It systematically evaluates Program Outcomes (POs), Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), and Course Outcomes (COs) using structured assessment and feedback mechanisms. Based on the analysis, the committee recommends corrective measures, pedagogical improvements, and curriculum revisions to ensure continuous quality enhancement in alignment with NBA and NAAC standards.

Board of Studies (BoS)

The Board of Studies is responsible for designing, reviewing, and updating the MBA curriculum in accordance with academic advancements, industry requirements, and regulatory guidelines (AICTE/JNTUH). The BoS includes internal faculty members along with external experts from academia and industry. It ensures that the syllabus remains contemporary, outcome-oriented, and aligned with emerging trends in management, analytics, entrepreneurship, and business practices.

Curriculum Committee

The Curriculum Committee works closely with the Board of Studies in structuring and implementing the academic framework of the programme. It focuses on course design, credit allocation, content relevance, integration of case-based learning, internships, and skill-oriented training. The committee ensures that the curriculum supports experiential learning, interdisciplinary exposure, innovation, and industry readiness while effectively achieving the intended learning outcomes.

Project Review Committee

The Project Review Committee oversees and evaluates student internships, research projects, and final project work at various stages. It ensures that projects are relevant, research-oriented, and aligned with real-world business challenges. The committee conducts periodic reviews, provides academic and professional guidance, and supports students in producing high-quality reports, research publications, and practical solutions.
